Recent Roofing Projects in Essex and Hertfordshire

This gallery shows roofing projects in Essex and the surrounding area completed by RC Roofing. Most of our work is on high-value private homes, from large detached houses to period properties, and the photos reflect that mix.

You will see natural slate roofs and red clay tile roofs, lead valleys and flashings, chimney detailing and decorative slate features. Others show new build roofs at every stage, from the timber hip and dormer frames through battening and underlay to the finished slate.

From a single repaired valley to a complete new roof on a large house, we treat each of our roofing projects in Essex with the same care. We explain the options in plain English, agree the scope of work with you, and keep you informed while the work is under way, so you always know what is happening on your roof and why.

How We Approach Roofing Projects in Essex

Every one of our roofing projects in Essex starts with a proper look at the roof. On larger homes we use a drone survey so we can see every slope, valley and chimney before we quote. That means no surprises on site and a clear plan from the first day.

During the work our uniformed crews keep the site tidy, protect gardens and driveways, and limit disruption to neighbours. When the job is finished we clear everything away and walk you through what has been done.

Materials We Use on Our Roofing Projects

Most of our roofing projects in Essex use natural slate or clay tiles, chosen to suit the property. Period homes often need traditional materials and careful detailing, while newer homes may suit a modern slate or tile finish. Lead is used for valleys, flashings, aprons and chimney work wherever the roof needs a watertight joint.

If you are planning work and want advice on materials, call us on 07986843705 and we will talk it through.

Questions About Our Roofing Projects in Essex

How long does a typical roofing project take?

It depends on the size of the roof and the work involved. A small repair can be done quickly, while a full re-roof on a large detached home takes longer. We give you a realistic timescale when we quote.

Can I see a similar project to mine?

Yes. Browse the photos above, or ask us when you call and we will show you work on a similar type of property, whether that is slate, clay tile, leadwork or a new build roof.

Do you work on listed or period homes?

We regularly work on period properties and take care to match traditional materials and details. If your home is listed, you may need consent before starting, so it is worth checking early.

Will you tidy up when the work is finished?

Always. We keep sites clean throughout, protect your garden and driveway, and clear everything away at the end of each job.

" We hired RC Roofing for a complete roof replacement after a hailstorm. From the first inspection to the final cleanup, they were extremely professional. The crew showed up on time, explained everything clearly, and left our property spotless. Price was fair, and they didn’t try to upsell unnecessary work. Would definitely recommend them! "

" Reece came to replace/repair a section of our slate roof which had been left in a bad way by a different company. He visited us promptly in the first instance and recommended the most economical course of action for the repair and also evidenced his knowledge by advising us that there should be lead apron between the two different sections of roof which had not previously been installed. He did a great job and we are very happy with the finish and the workmanship. He is an excellent communicator, polite and hardworking. "

" Highly recommend. Punctual, tidy and fairly priced. Made an excellent job of fixing up a tricky little bit of roof for us. Will definitely use again if we ever have any other roofing needs. "
